I’m picking up the latest meme and sharing with you all three little known truths about me, as well as a great big lie. See if you can guess which is which.
- When I left school, I wanted to be an economist. I was only saved by not having taken any maths subjects in grades 11 and 12, which meant I didn’t get accepted into the economics degree I applied for.
- My phobia of public speaking lead me to choose subjects at uni based on whether or not they had an oral assessment component. The thought of speaking to a group made me break out in a cold sweat.
- I love the beach. It’s my favourite thing about living on the Coast… My house is five minutes walk from the water and I wish I had more time to spend down there.
- I have a bad track record with wine and laptops. The first mishap resulted in a completely fried machine, but it did teach me a thing or two on how to handle future incidents. As a result, the next time I knocked over a glass of white in the vicinity of my sister’s laptop (which I borrowed after killing my own), I managed to save the day with a hairdryer and a pedestal fan. I only had to replace the keyboard that time.
Number three is a total lie. You wish beaches were made out of concrete or is that someone else I know?
Beach, beach, beach. Don’t know why…just don’t see you as a beach bunny. Or an economist for that matter…
I’m voting for 2. I think there’s a few of us who were quiet as children who now speak up on stands more often.

lol, I see no-one picked 4? I like the beach more so in winter….
I spilled an entire bottle of drinking yoghurt over our MacBook (and the couch, wall, floor, partner) a year or so ago…ended well but I still haven’t been forgiven.
Coincidentally, I was shanghaied into walking from Surfers to Broadbeach along the beach today. He’d better get it out of his system now cause there’s no way I’m doing that in summer!
